Join us for a fun-filled full day of extreme Class IV and V white water rafting on the world class Silverton portion of the Upper Animas River, known for being one of the premier, heart-stopping, whitewater adventures (must be at least 16) (you must meet with guides Friday evening for 15 minute orientation raft trip to determine physical ability, maturity and performance of self-rescue swim). Price includes rafting, train ride, lunch, and thermal gear
Or opt for the full-day very exciting Class III and IV white water rafting on the Needleton section of the Upper Animas (still a thrill) (must be at least 14). Price includes rafting, train ride, lunch, and thermal gear
Or enjoy a much gentler 2 hour Class III rafting ride on the Lower Animas (great for families - child must be at least 30 lbs.), followed by transportation to Silverton and the train ride back to Durango (lunch not included).
All followed by a one-way train ride on the famous narrow gauge train ride from Silverton to Durango, considered “One of the World’s Top Ten Most Exciting Train Rides." The scenery is incredible!
Your final option is to not raft at all and enjoy your day exploring Durango, ziplining or even taking a shuttle to Silverton, playing around a bit and riding the train back to Durango with the rest of us.
Friday morning, there will be an option to zipline through the mountains on a 2-hour or 3-hour spectacular ride!
Lodging: Three nights (Thursday arrival; depart Sunday morning) at the Siesta Motel. Option to upgrade to room with Kitchenette for $10 more - limited rooms available - first booked, first in.
